James Claiborne is a photographer and fine artist, based currently in Greensboro, North Carolina. Growing up in the rural town of Salisbury, North Carolina James has always had a fascination with his expression towards art. He sees art as a way of showing your true self towards subjects that affect one on an emotional level. The way James expresses his artwork is through alternate processes in film negative manipulation. The artist experiments with using different items that create abstractions in the film emulsion, some of these items include household cleaning products (bleach, detergent powder, white vinegar) or liquids that are highly flammable (Isopropyl alcohol, lighter fluid, gasoline, etc). James considers the process of his artmaking to be dangerous however, he believes the risk and experimentation factor is worth the entertainment.
